my oil light came on, changed out the sensor, and it still was on. Checked the pressure and there is minimal pressure. wire going to the light is fine. What are the chances of the oil pump gone out? isnt it mechanical? How do i make for sure that it is the oil pump? i hate to tear the whole side of the engine down and to have the light still on. On an itr motor. What other things can cause this? car was running fine before. thanks

 

took the oil pump off today, this is what the oil gear looks like, is this enough for the pump not to have no pressure? the other gear is just as scorred.
