ok, so i have a 90 rex stock. the other day i took off and it sputtered and died. just like that. i got it to start a few times and it would idle fine but under a load it fell on its face. now it wont even start. so i started buying stuff. so far the igniter, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are new. i pulled a plug and it was covered in fuel so i know its getting fuel. only thing i can think of is a coil. am i goin in the right direction? please advise!

 

check for spark (do a search). Maybe you have a bad distributor.

If it has fuel / spark / compression it should start.

 

can you hear it priming ?

 

yes. it does prime. if i dont have spark is the coil an option?

 

so, i said f it and bought a coil. fired right up! woot! thankks all.
