Default NO POWER TO VEHICLES IGNITION WIRE FOR CD PLAYER

Im trying to hook up my CD player to my car and for some reason, its only coming on when the cd harness ignition wire it connected to the vehicles power wire. I spoke with Kenwood technical assistance and he confirmed that every wire was hooked up correctly. When I tested the power to my vehicles ignition wire, there was no power going to it when I turned the vehicle on. Therefore, hooked up correctly, it does not come on, but when hooked up incorrectly and plugged into the power wire, it works but will not go off. All fuses were checked, but no blown fuses were found. Can anyone help, or give me some ideas on what to do to fix it.

Its either a blown fuse or a fried wire. Double check ur fuses, then if that dont work u'll have to replace that wire. an easier option would be to find another ignition live wire then tap into that, - saves a lot of time, just make sure its running through at least a 10 amp fuse. i'd suggest the cigar lighter, as long as thats a switched wire. I would personally put a fuse on that wire (10amp), as all hondas have a lot of bare metal behind the h/u!

Did you check the backup fuse in the fusebox under the hood?

I used to think the radio fuse was under the dash so I thought my wiring was wrong. Turned out it was the backup fuse located under the hood.

It's easier if you use a DMM (Voltage meter) and measure for voltage, if you have one.
