okay, so i've wired plenty of cd players to know what works what wires what, what to check for if theres no power, etc..and i've searched plenty of HT threads. well heres the case, i am currently replacing my dad's cd player to a different one that plays vcd's etc. so i connected all the wires correctly, until one thing..the ignition switch wire doesnt have any power or anything coming to it. if i were to connect the ACC wire or ignition switch wire to the + battery wire, it would work fine, but the cd player will stay on, car on/off. so i was wondering if i blew a fuse somewhere and i dont really know much about fords(yes i know this is HONDA-tech, but it should be similar) but anywho, the question is, why isnt the ignition wire getting any power when the ign. switch is turned to the ON position? and i tried to hand wire it to the original harness's wire, but still doesnt work, theres no fuse on the in-dash, and i check all the fuses concerning the ignition, cig lighter, switch etx.. any help will be highly appreciated thanks.

Model an year of Ford???
Are you using a harness adapter, [plug and pigtail that plugs into stock Ford radio harness??
Are you absolutly sure the aftermarket HU is wired properly....
What color is the Fords 12V+ constant lead, you connected to?
What color is the Fords 12V+ switched, [ignition switched] lead you connected to? 94

like fcm said, the year and model would absolutely help. Some new(er) Ford are doing the GM/Chrysler thing where the ACC is a digital control and not a switched +12 volt
