Default Hello All, New to the Forum! Also have a question, PLEase HELP!

I am new to the forum here so first off i would like to say hey to everyone.
I have a 97 del sol SI (d16y8). Slightly modded with bolt ons.
I have a very pressing issue with my car right now.

I was feeding some wires through the firewall while installing some gauges the other day. Somehow i clipped a orange/yellow wire w/gray spots on it in the harness that extends from the fuse box to the clips right near the hoold prop. Once the wire was clipped the Intstrument cluster, Turnsignals, windows, and key forward door beeper stopped working... I reconnected the wire but it did not fix the problem. i checked all of the fuses in the car( that i could find) and they are all fine except for the ecu back up fuse, which had blown. I replaced that fuse and still nothing. I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the splice and then all of those functions work. (but not properly such as the oil light and check engine light stay on continously, but the windows, signal, and beeper work. ) I tried to trace the wire through the different clips and looms but its almost impossible.

Is there a possiblity that i could have shorted out that module in the ECU?
Please advise.... thanks Willis

Shorting out a madule is highly unlikely. If you want to test for that, try a different ECU. If thats not it, check the wire again, you may have clipped another one by accident. Ive run into this problem before.

You checked the in-cabin fuses too, right? Yes, try another ecu too. Good luck!
