Default How can I just use engine start button instead of usin a key

Is that possible to elimate the use of key with an ignition cut off switch like the ones below?
What I want is to replace the first 2 click of the key in the key cylinder to the switch or the key-kind of switch
and use a engine push start button to start the engine
I need the ignition switch hv 3 positions , like the key cylinder off-->1st postion for electric--->2nd position for ignition

To turn off the engine
I want to press the engine start button to turn off the engine but I don't know how to make that happen

I will hv a compustar alarm when I really hv this mod
I just don't see why it's easier to steal since the normal key is not chipped and I can get a spare anywhere for couple bucks
plus I can take the red ignition key switch off, isn't it?

I know it's kinda pointless doin this but it locks and works way cooler than noraml key set up just like a race car
thx

Sure it's neat, but it's not good for security. You might want to wire it up so that placing the key in the II position activates a relay that gives power to the starter button. Pressing the button would activate the starter. You'd still need a key to get the car started.

You can wire the ignition switch to cut the ignition wire. Flipping the switch would kill the motor. Be careful not to hit it while you're driving araound though.

I'm not drivin a race car "yet"
but I just don't get why ppl always said it's easier to steal since the 99 si key doesn't equiped w/ a chip anyway
What is the differences between steal a car
1) w/ a start button and required a key still
2)only w/ ignition cut off switch w/ a removable plastic red "key" and a start button
thx

that is what my first thoughts were. Isn't it illegal to mess with that?
