Default EG shut off while driving and wont start HELP!!!

Ok.... So I was driving down the highway the other night and my car just started to sputter like it was running out of gas and turned off. I was able to turn it back on within seconds but it did it again about a mile down the road. Within the following mile it completely shut off and wouldn't re-start. I had the car towed to my house and my buddies and I started to check out what might have gone wrong. The fuel pump primed and was getting gas. Same thing with the fuel filter. Then we thought it was the distributor rotor so I changed the cap, rotor, and plugs. Nothin. The car tries to turn but I really think it sounds like its out of gas but I have over a half tank. I dont know what else it could be. We are so lost. Please help.

By the way, Its just a bone stock 93 DX 1.5L 5spd

sounds like either a bad coil or ignition control module (ignitor) in the dist. check for spark.

Could be a bad alternator.
You could get it checked at any kragen or autozone

Sounds like ur ignitor is fried. Take your dizzy apart and take the ignitor out and see if it has burnt spots if it does thats most likely your problem.

What is the fuel pressure at the fuel filter or fuel rail?

just replace your ignitor inside your distributor. They go for about $65 new from autozone with lifetime warranty, or you can get one from honda for....you shouldn't buy one there its very expensive.

The ignitor is number number 12 in the following pic and is relatively easy to replace. For your car the OEM part number is 30510-PT2-006 and can be had for only $73.68 from HondaPartsDeals.com (online OEM dealership). Plus if you use coupon code Honda-Tech10 you get $10 off shipping & handling charges.
