tein s techs...
thats how much i purchased mine on ebay 2 years ago for my ek hatch. i hate them. the drop was like 1.2" and i like my cars slammed. so i bought skunk2 sleeves...put those in and sold my tech s. i mean if u like that spring drop then why not? what car do you have? its mostly based on your opinon on how low your car goes.....
but besides that the ride was cool but too high. right now my hatch is 3 1/2 inches baby. hahaahha

check the suspension section and look for tein s. techs. i posted a picture of my car with s. techs on...next to my sister's car...with stock springs on. or search all the posts i've posted...its not much...so it'll be easy to find. as for the drop...its not low and its not noticeable to the average person...but i noticed it. it leaves about .75" of gap between the fender and the wheel. as for the ride...its like stock

the ride on the s.techs is great and you will hear that from just about everybody but the drop is something i wouldnt be able to stand for even a couple days lol i need 2 inches or better
from the first time i bought H&R springs i have never bought another set of lowering springs i've had a bout 4 pairs all on different cars... now i just have 1 piece suspension but trust if i was to go back to spring/strut combo first thing i would buy is H&R race springs
buy struts. i thought i'd be safe with stocks, but even though it's only a 1.9" drop in the front, front drivers strut was gone in about a month and a half. i like the ride height to be honest. i have illuminas on there now with them and the ride is amazing. and that's about what i paid for them too.

IMO Tein S-Techs are one of the best springs for daily driven cars that you don't care to slam.
I owned a set and loved them when paired with new KYB GR-2 shocks.
I can't complain about them at all - I didn't expect a huge drop out of them.

i mean the strut blew. it was no longer absorbing bumps, my wheel bounced like a basketball. and don't let everyone peer pressure you into slamming your ride, for a daily driver it's not worth it. the ride is almost always awful/bouncy due to spring rate and you'll be scraping all the time. s-techs give a nice stance and 100% daily drivability.
my $.02

That's my red coupe shown above. I'm still on stock struts and have been the entire time I've had the S-Techs, which is somewhere between two and three years. I've never had a problem.
Most other springs are too bouncy and rough for my tastes. Eran's car is just .75 inches lower than mine and his scrapes as long as there is more than one person in the car (and this is with recent CTR exhaust). With an aftermarket exhaust he scraped a lot more often.
I just don't see the point in ruining my car just so it "looks nice". Then again, I don't think it looks any nicer and lower.
Take into consideration the local roads too. Most of the roads around here are nice and smooth, but I go over speedbumps all the time. There are certain parking lots that I just can't get into even at this height.

can someone please post some more pic examples of the s-techs preferably on an eg/ek hatch. i've been looking into new springs for a decent drop that doesnt look stock and has a nice ride in not so nice roads.

I am thinking of keeping my stock struts as well on my 94 hatch. what else do i need to complete the drop on my car besides the springs? a camber kit? thanks

thats pretty much it. no camber kit needed cause it doesnt even camber that bad. just make sure you get an alignment. i still need to get mine aligned.

i have s techs on both of my hatches...they ride better than the stock springs. it looks conservative but still looks good and they ride great. i love the way they ride. i recommend them...unless you are really tryin to lower your car. they only lower an eg by like 1.5 in the front and 1.4 in the rear i think. great springs!!
