2000 civic si fuel problems PLEASE HELP!!!
Like the title says, I have a 2000 civic si (125,000). Within the last 5,000-10,000 it has not been running right. Approx. 10,000 miles ago, the check engine light came on and the car was running really rough. I took it to AutoZone for the free diagnostic and they said cylinder 2 was miss firing. I replaced distributor cap, rotor, all four injectors and fuel filter and still a check engine light. Then one day I was driving it and the light went off (problem solved). Since then, the light has come on several more times and it was fixed with a bottle of fuel injection cleaner. A couple of days ago, the light came on again, and this time it's flashing. Cylinder two is not getting any fuel. I spoke with Honda and they said I need a A12 ecu, well my car has one already.............so I'm stuck, what do I do, any ideas, anyone ever had this type of problem?
So have your checked yourself to see if its getting fuel or no??
Try a friends ecu???
I think thats what they are telling you.. is that your ecu is bad...

for clarification, the dealership thought I had the A11 ECU and I needed an A12, but I have an A12. Autozone did another check today,
cylinder 1 and 2 misfire
cylinder 1 and 2 misfire

As you already have a new cap and rotor, your next attempt at solving the misfire problem should be to replace the plugs and wires.
