is it good and does it work? or is it bad? and does it really give u more compression psi in your cylinders?

 

i used it on my mx6 a very long time ago and i honestly didnt couldnt tell a difference in it. But it also is still running today with around 350k miles too.
Im kinda interested in this to see if it "realy works"

The best one ive used is zmax. But it only works for like one tank . Both the oil and gas treatment together. But i did use it 3 times in a row. That also could of been a bad factor there.

Basically my mechanic told me once, never use any additives, the car doesnt need it.

 

well it seems like your mechanic is the only smart person.. Additives do nothing for your engine. but create more build up of oil slug on your engine components.

 

Ive also been told by a Honda mechanic at the dealer that additives like Prolong, thin your oil and cause premature wear on compents; especially true on h22's as their clearances are extremely tight. Additives like Lucas (syrup like) thickens your oil and causes engine sludge.

did u know zmax causes harm more than anything else! Someone gave me zmax for free and i read the article and just threw it away!

 

hard to say if it has any long term benifits , but my 91 accord gets 24mpg on the highway and it bumped it up to 29. For only that tank. So i was sold on that aspect for a while. But i havent messed with anything ever again.

Alll you need to do is check your oil level, change it on time. Also get magnetic drain plugs, thats the best thing you can do to prolong your engine life.

 

Do those magnetic plugs really work?

I think I have one for my tranny, I say so becuase when I drained and filled, there was black gunk around the tip of the plug which wiped off fairly easy.

 

well it would wipe off, thats what its for. but if there was any bits of metal, it would attach to the magnet and stay there till your next fluid change where you could wipe it off, if there was no metal, then it might just have some oil build up on it.

 

Yeah I bought some off that stuff once. Put it on my shelf, and thats where it still is, on the shelf. Crap like that wont being going into my motor.
