Default 13.2 @ 104 mph

ran my EF at the track yesterday mods : stock B16a with 75 shot wet nitrous system, cold air intake, stock exhaust manifold (open header), upgraded ignition and fuel. 24.5 MT et drag slicks
reaction time .531
60 ft 2.03
e.t. 13.262
mph 104.961
i miss shifted 3rd gear on that pass
launching at 7000 and the best 60 ft that night i could manage was a 2.0
should i use a smaller size slick 22's? to lower that 60 ft
i figure if i didn't miss shift 3rd gear i possibly could've hit a 12.9?
car weighed in at 2200 lbs including me
any suggestions to make my car hit 12's on stock block b16a?
more weight reduction, different size slick, full exhaust system, bolt ons?
input / advice would be appreciatted Thanks

Your 60' should be in the 1.7-1.8 range. You should be able to get in the 12's with some practice.

even the puny 20x6x14 MT's hook harder that 22x8x15's. The only people who should run 22x8x15's are the folk with OVERsized front brakes.

like myself. . . . i have broken 12's already with these, just at a 2.0 60 ft time .
i wonder if i can get bigger slicks in general to clear my fenders and still go on the 15 inch wheel . ?

Try different tires pressures, and different launching techniques.
I was cracking 1.8's all day long on the same slicks.
Do a long *** burnout, and launch high, between 7800 and 8200rpms.

dude i still dont know how you do it . you saw me, i was running 10 psi before burnout . . . and really nice burnouts at that and launching anywhere from 7-7500 and still not giving me what i need.

24's are too big . anyway lower slicks air pressure to 5 psi. If you don't get bite by then, then slicks are worn or you aren't launching right.

I can catch 1.89 60 foots on 14x8 slicks
with 13 x 8's I can get 1.7-1.8

for every tenth you take off of 60 foot you can subtract two tenths at the top end.

Your car should be a high 12 sec car.

104 mph is a nice time
with slicks and a flawless pass you should run atleast 12.90s
2.0 60s coming down to 1.8s is already .2 off of your ET in the 60 foot which is more than .2 in your ET

A 104 trap is good for a 12.7 and up depending on how sick you drive. I would use a 22x8x13 slicks and launching really high spraying the **** out of it out the hole. Also, race gas and high bottle pressure can help you get there.
