Default 60ft times? how to bring them down .

i dont get it . im on slicks, i launch the car at anywhere between 6k and 7k and it shoots off the line like a bat out of hell. no wheels spin, no wheel hop and i cant break a 2.060ft time.
my car so far ran 13.7 all motor and 13.3 with the nitrous , is it me or shoulnt my car be going like 1.8 at least for 60ft times?
maybe it was just the track , but my car really wasnt performing like expected for the 1st event this year , i went to maplegrove for the idrc event and it was pretty humid out, i dont know if that had anything to do with it
also my nitrous times were seeming kinda off. i was expexting 12's with my set up, to only find out im popping off shitty 13.3 at 101.? mph.
i dont get it .

slicks and suspension

what size slicks are you running?
properly warming up the slicks is the KEY!
try 2nd gear burnouts

they are more than warm .
im running the mickey tomsons
22/8/15's . like i said it doesnt seem to be breaking traction off the line . . . at least at this event it didnt . i had issues last year with them hopping .
this weekend though it was leaving the line beautifully.
the one run though , i ran 13.8 all motor and i chirped the slicks in every gear . and those things were gummy as hell . i sit and burn them out good then let the ebrake go and finish with a rolling burnout. so i know they are hot and i watch the tapes and cant figure out why i cant get better 60 fts. granted my susp is stock, but it seemed to be sticking good

What is you tire pressure at? Are you spinning them off of the line? Also do you have a good clutch?

It does kind of seem odd that you were running 13.7 all motor and now with 80 shot wet kit you are only at 13.3, I would think that 80shot would give you more than .4 seconds? BTW, did you hook up your MDS igniton w/ 2 step yet? Does it help you w/ launching?

the tire press on sat was at 15-16 psi
i wanst spinnignoff the line , it hooked right up
also i have the act organic street disc and the xtreme press plate.
jamal . i only had in the 70 shot for sat , i did hook up the dig 6 , but the onyl part not done was the 2 step . i had the boost retard set for -2 degrees.
i think i didnt have the bottle hott enough and it was retarded too much .
im gonna do some tuning with it soon and up the jets to see if that helps for the next event . i was really depressed with the only .4 differernce with nos .and i see other people pulling 1.5 sec diff with less potnet set ups. . . . . i guess its time for some tuning

Your tire pressure is way high. Put it at 11.5psi

You should be in the 1.7-1.9 range. I run the same slicks 22x8x15 M/T's at about 12psi. Make sure you do a really good burn out.....since the slicks don't squeal like radials you may be getting some tire spin and not noticing....
I launch around 4500-5000 and usaully run 1.8's 60ft times in a full body GSR.

In fact - My buddy with his poorman's ITR ran a 1.8 60ft with my slicks at 12psi.....

those tires are kinda small, do you have access to 24", 22" is basically what you can fit onto a stock rim and drive around all day, try locking up the rear springs/shocks so there is less weight transfer to teh back. take a lot of air out of those tires, they must have a rigid sidewall to fit on a 15" rim, so they probably do not wrinkle wall.

I think your 60 foots are right where they should be for the times your pulling. If you cant get it to hook to a 1.9...that should be a twelve second run. Maybe your out of horsepower if your traction is there???

put it this way , last time i was on the dyno i had major, major fuel problems and pumped out 230 easy. that was last october. . . i have done quite a bit of work since then . im assuming around 240ish -250to the wheels now on an 80 shot wet kit when tuned. .. . that could be the issue with the horsepower though. . . the cars not tuned yet . but i know i have more than enough hp to get me into the 12's
my car has done 13.7 all motor. last year , now with the new mods and the bottle i only get .4 off my time . . . that doesnt seem right to mee. i see plenty of people pulling 1-1.5 sec off their time with n20. why cant i ?
so my slicks sound too small?

those slicks don't have enough sidewall to flex to grip for traction.. Ever see how a top fuel dragster slicks wrinkle up hard under acceleration? That is what you want but with those size slicks you won't get that and you'll probably never get that good of a bite. try lowering your pressure down. What you'll have to do is go to a 4 lug pattern so you can put on some 13 x 8 x22 rims with some M &H's. You'll catch a minimum of 1.9 with those all day.
Another issue you may have is your suspension. you probably have too much weight transfer. with 230 to the wheels you should definitely be in the 12's. I would upgrade your fuel man, leaning out on nitrous does nothing but bad to stuff to motors, i've seen it first hand especially those on stock internals.

before i was turbo last year i ran a 14.8@91mph first past all motor and then the second past used a 50 shot nitrous dry and ran a 13.60@100mph

i used ram air setup to

1.8 60foot with 15/8/22 m/t

running lean is all taken care of . im running perfect now .
its just not giving me what i want yet . .. granted it was the 1st time on the track with it . . . im thinking weight transfer too . i got motor mount inserts too , but im sure they wont help that much .
ill get it down ,. maybe ill try some bigger slicks too . . .i will hit 12;s soon though.
