Hey guys and girls,

Alright, I fired up my engine today, but I have some questions to ask.

First off, the engine is a B18C1 with high comp pistons, a notch higher than C5 pistons.

The head is a stock B18C1 head with Skunk2 Valves on it, same size but flatheads, for higher compression.

What I'm worried about is breaking my engine when V-tec kicks in, as it'll change the cam profile and slap the valve onto the piston.

This may seem stupid, I know, but this is my first Honda engine and I don't know that much about them yet.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

 

Did you check the piston to valve clearance at all when you assembled the motor?
