I was thinking about getting this intake manifold, but I found that it is not street legal

My Question is if I did go ahead a put it on how is anyone going to know if it is street legal? Like if a cop pulled me over and looked into my engine bay how would he know my skunk 2 was illegal? Same for when I have the car inspected, so I guess what I'm trying to say is how could I get caught with it?

how much hp will gain on ls motor?

 

I belive that it says like 8-9 hp but that is assuming you can intake and exhuast the air I bet. So I wouldn't expect much I plan on doing the Intake Manifold, and Throtle Body when I add my Short Ram Air Intake. But I still don't have enough cash for the fuel system upgrade, so it's basically worthless till then

 

Go Cold Air, short-rams aren't worth too much more than just a k&n filter on a stock air box.
