hey i just got a new cd player alpine 9886 and when i turn if up a little past half way it cuts off and then back on. And does this everytime i turn it past halfway, my old cd deck did this too, but i thought it was just the old cd player. DOES any body know how to fix this??

 

Does it happen instantly or take a few minutes? It could be overheating. Also, have you checked the impedance of the speakers?

 

check ur wires, maybe one of them is short circuiting or touching metal. This happened to me before, my door speaker wire was loose.
