what is this part?

sry guys total newbie question here but what is this and how do i get it off??? ive searched everywhere but its the hardest thing to find this small of a part. I wanna kno because mine is all rusted and i wanna repaint it.

its your VTEC solenoid.....Don't paint it, and removing it could cause all the VTEC fluid to leak out, hence reducing your power by about 40whp.

I belive Skunk2 and few other companies make solenoid covers so you would not have to paint it.

make sure its the JASMA ported one...they make more power....if your replacing you might as well go big
