Default vtec trouble searching exhausted

civic coupe 94
jdm sir b18c, skunk pro2 cams, springs etc. wiseco 12.3:1 to 13:1 cr pistons.

vtec bogs at engagement point power vanishes engine stutters. sounds like rev limiting. can hear intake vtec engaging for definite. there is a sound difference

acceleration is perfect without vtec if disconnected.
all sensors perfect no cel,s all earths checked vtec solonoid perfect.
oil pressure checked at point on front of head.
OIl changed, vtec filter perfect.
Cam timing checked dialed in.

i think it could be something to do with tappet clearence. i have clearence set as near to whats specified. but they are very noisy sound like too much clearence.
but does the vtec lobe profile have a lot higher tappet clearence than the lower lobe profile in the pro 2's. what im tryin to say is could there be no compression when vtec engaged due to tappet clearence not sufficent enough.

what i need to know if somebody has these cams out to look at the diameter of the closed side hi lobe and the closed diameter of the low lobe and see if they are the same.

i know i know this is a very long shot but cant think of anything else. rocker assembly was replaced perfect.

i am waiting to go for a tune on s300 but cant travel to tuner without vtec working.
could it be ignition??? meaby a job for tuner.???

thanks for all info in advance

why can't you drive to the tuner without Vtec?

in daily driving conditions there is no need to go over 5-6 thousand RPMs.

i can drive to tuner but dont wanna waste the money on fuel the tuner is 200 miles away. im runing on a mix of 15ltrs 95 octane and 5 ltrs of 114 octane.
do you think it could be ignition problems??
