okay i have a 94 rs 5 spd with about 160k, i bought the car recently in december of 07 , since then ive drove the car everyday and just recently about a week ago i realized it was getting harder to shift. friday of last week i went to go to school and she wouldnt go into gear i just the car off and put into first started it and tried driving, once i left 1st gear it was liked i was locked out of my gears it wouldnt go into any. if i were to park it wont go into any but reverse with a little grindage, i brought it to the local shop, and they said it was fine and worked properly the way it should. but since then i havent drove it any ideas why this happened . im gunna take her out later and post up how it goes cuz id think a car can fix itself

 

i took her out and it seemed to drive fine but was still hard to shift

 

i have a similar problem some suggestions i got were that a clutch spring may have came out may be stuck between the pressure plate and disc....

 

I've had the clutch disc springs break and cause massive difficulty getting into gears. I would guess that your clutch is where the issue lies.
