Whats up. Over the recent months most of the honda guys i know have made the jump to Turbo. Most of them are quick. but what makes it worst is that they are now saying that My NA civic will never be able to catch their cars, and that i will always be slow.

My setup is :-
93 EG civic
JDM B18C
P30 pistons
head milled 10 thousandths
OEM Head gasket
Omni power high compression valves
Buddy Club spec 4 cams
Buddy club cam gears
BLOX intake manifold
Stock throttle Body
CAI intake
B&M fuel pressure regulator
2.5 inch exhaust no cat
stock header ( sold my JDM R unit)
ATS close gear kit and LSD
Hondata S300

there is this one guy whose is causing havoc, he has beaten STI WRX, evos, skyline powered nissan Cefeiros, other turbo civics, and a whole list of other cars.

honestly I would like to take him off his throne, but i have been thinking to add a 30-50 shot on my car and cut his ***. What do you guys think?

B16B typeR motor.
Mugen N1 ecu with Greddy Emanage Blue
Ebay $700 turbo kit
440 cc injectors
no exhaust
GSR tranny


I am convinced his car is a low 12 sec car. since he beats these cars but about 2-3 car lengths. and evos and WRX all run 13s from the factory and they arent heavily modded.

What should i do ?
Should i be able to beat him or will i definately need the Nitrous shot?

wow, im sorry but i tell my NA friends the same thing, but my na friends arent NA for the mad power, they like the response of the engine or some crap like that...

id drive as fast as you can twords a tree and see who hits it first.

If you want to beat a turbo car put a bigger turbo on yours. Or only race to 10 so you can jump ahead while their turbo starts spooling.

 

I think that $700 ebay turbo will take a dump soon, then you be able to catch up

 

turbo cars aren't unbeatable..
any car can beat ANY car, with enough money, time/research and willingness to learn what works.. countlesss hours of testing..

just a fyi, my all motor has beaten quite a few turboed cars, from a roll of course.. including a stock evo, stock 8psi gsr hatch, bolt on/tuned stage 1 srt-4.. pretty quick cars.. all pretty low 13 second cars.. turbo cars aren't the end all be all.

When its all said and done.. your motor is holding together, while his has the glue melting off his turbo housing..

 

this kinda stuff is so funny... turbo and NA are two different worlds. Of course yours turbo friends are gonna rag on you about how they can beat and they likly always will, turbos make power its just a fact of life. Now on the other hand, you still have the bragging rights of being all motor and getting beat by a turbo car shouldnt hurt your feelings. I am building an all motor set up now but I know that I will never touch the times my turbo set up did (low 11's). IDK, these kind of threads kill me haha.
