Default Rywire obd-1 conversion harness? CEL Check?

Sorry for the stupid question.... I have the harness all hooked up, and im getting a CEL. On the instructions, it says hook the BLUE and ORANGE wires to a toggle switch. If I dont have a toggle switch, do I just connect the wires together to check the code? Thanks, Alex

if you touch those 2 wires together, you can check the codes. on my jumper, i just leave them hanging there not touching unless i want to check the codes

Stop being such a cheap *** and go and buy a $3 toggle switch yes it will work the way you are wanting to do it but that is ghetto and who wants wires hanging all over in the cabin
