for those turbo R's out there
im thinking of redoing my setup and going turbo. i want to keep stock internals. how much boost can i run safely with about how much hp would i be hitting? low boost setting, high boost setting?
my current setup right now im hitting 250.
this is a daily driven car btw.

your current setup is 250? all motor? or supercharged?
and it doesnt matter how much boost you are running. it matters how much power you are making. 15psi on a 16G is a lot different than 15psi on a 42R. stock internals, I wouldnt go over 300 and I think at that level your ring lands are gonna take a beating.
seems you need to study up a bit.

ya 250 is pretty good power if you are saying you havent done much. and ya what dc2r said about dif turbos is true. i think im around 350-400 whp on 15psi, and thats just a street tune.

Whats your current setup?
If your motor is stock, I would suggest a thicker headgasket and some arp headstuds. Around 15 psi on a t3/t67 = 360ish whp

stay under 7psi...powerwise, it varies from car to car and how well its tuned. Personally, I would change out the pistons...be safe not sorry

again, it doesnt matter HOW MUCH BOOST you are running (it does, but it doesnt for the most part). what matters is cylinder pressures and the power being made. it depends on the turbo being used. you can run 15psi on a tiny turbo and make under 300whp and be perfectly fine. but if you run 15psi on a 35R you are gonna explode your motor because you are gonna make 450+whp. as mentioned before it also depends on your tuner and how safe the tune is. there are people that run 10's on stock blocks. but chances are that motor isnt gonna last very long.
