Default LSVTEC OBDII-OBDI: Failed Inspection

98 ls/97gsr head. this is for the NY inspection. i kinda knew i was gonna fail, but i tried anyways. blah... i was gonna go around and try to BUY an inspection sticker, but i guess thats harder now...

"OBDII COMMUNICATION FAILURE: Connectors are OK, but still unable to communicate"

is it possible to run my LS ecu?
or run my friends 99gsr ecu to pass inspection?

has anyone done either of these and passed?, lemme know, thanks..
