Passing emissions with lsv...
Looking at building an lsv for my ek. I live in Wisconsin so my car has to pass the plug in to the data port, aka be obd2 and no cel. My plans for the lsv are:
-B18b block
-B16 pistons
-B16 head (stock besides rail and fpr)
So for me to pass emissions it needs to run without a cel. Would the car run good enough to get me to the emissions station on an obd2a ls ecu? I'd put the obd2 ls injectors in too so that they match with the ecu. Obviously I wouldn't take it real high in the rpms, just needs to get me to the station, and throw no codes. I figured the ls ecu would be the best since it won't look for the knock sensor that isn't there, which an si ecu would, and the si ecu fuel maps would be off more.
