Kaaz LSD help??
ok so i put a brand new 1.5 kaaz diff. in my brand new ITR tranny. first couple month perfect, loved it... and now all out of the blue my passenger side axle keeps popping out of the tranny... i have already change axles, C-clips, opened the C-clip wider.. still the axle pops out at high speed or hard shifting everything..

yes. brand new bearing were used...
i have check everything on the passenger side of the car.. it all ok..

I've had this happen before (and with a KAAZ) when I didn't get the axle absolutely totally seated the first time. Poped out, ground down the end a bit and that axle never again was able to clip and stay in fully, no matter what I did to the C-clip.
You said you tried another axle?

I can't help you with the problem... except to say that I had exactly the same thing happen to me! Not much fun having the right side axel pop out at full speed around turn 9 at Willow! The strange thing was that on a couple of occasions it poped back in again! Of course never in time to regain any positions!!! Happened about three or four times in one weekend.
A brand new Kaaz LSD B series. I sent the diff back to Kaaz and they checked it out as ok.
I checked the axel lengths etc. And spread the C-Clips. I ran the car one more time at the track on a test day before doing a K-24 swap. It seemed like the problem had gone ? The Gearbox has been sitting at the shop ever since so I'm not really sure?
I have always had the feeling that the axel was not going into the diff far enough for the C-Clip to actually fully slip into the groove. perhaps shaving a couple of thousanths off the back face of the CV Housing might help?
FWIW.

Please let us know what they say. I'm having a small axle-pop issue myself, but it's on the driver side and it's with the OEM K20A* (DC5 ITR) Torsen axle in combination with HASport green boot axles.
We've never been able to really figure out.
Although my theory is rejected by knowledgeable people, my idea is that we've lowered the car too much on the nose (to get -2.5 camber) and it's putting undue stress on the axle retention.

here is the email from kaaz..
Hi Josh,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Please make sure the axles are securely locked inside the diff. Sometimes
the shimming on the lsd while installation could be off and the clip may not
be expanding full when the axle is installed. This may cause the axle to pop
out easily since the snap ring is not fully expanded to lock the axle in
place.
Next scenario: The passenger side axle could have had excessive play and
caused the side gear inside the diff to wear out internally where the snap
ring locks in.
The best cure for this is to swap out the right and left side side gear (the
gear that axle goes through) inside the diff.
This process has cured many of this axle pop out problem. Just swap the
right to left and left one to the right side.

Based on the suggestions that Kaaz gave you, did you find a solution for the problem?
I am having the same problem on my car (B18c5 with a Kaaz LSD).
I purchased my transmission and LSD from a friend in December of 2007. Drove it hard January thru May on Autozone remanufactured (Duralast) axles that had 1.5 years of track time on them. In May of 2008 I replaced the reman Duralast axles with brand new ones to cure some vibration I was experiencing under acceleration. That cured the vibration problem. I did not start encountering this axle pop problem until October of last year. It popped out at an October event, November event and just recently this weekend at the January event. It seems to be getting more frequent too. For the record, last Friday night before this past weekend's event, I replaced the Duralast axle (new one; that I put installed in May of 2008) which had some of the teeth grinded down from coming out twice with another brand new Duralast axle.
The axle pops out in the same spot everytime, on the exit of a constant radius, 200 degree, long right hand carosel turn. Exit speed for this corner with an experienced driver on R-compounds is approximately 55mph. <--if that makes any difference

I dont now if this will help. I had this problem happen to me once on my 99 Civic HB with a B20/vtec GSR trans with a Kaaz LSD mFactory FD. I rebuilt the trans myself with new bearing setting it to Honda spec preload. Well it poped out during the LSD break in doing the figure 8 turns. I was able to fix it on the spot. When I went to change the fluid out notice that my driver side axle was slight pushed in a little to tight binding and the passanger side to streched out. Shimmed the HAS Sport mount to move the motor a bit more to the driver sideto compensate the binding and streatch. So far it has never poped out after 3 track days and 8 autoX event and about 2k miles of driving.
Oh yeah the axle is a KenSmith reman axle.
