Default No Crank and no nothing

Heres the problem I tried to start my car and all I heard was a click and after that no start. It didn't crank nor the dash lights light up. Its like a car with no engine. Nothing works, I never ran into this problem so I don't know whats wrong. I did a little searching already. I was thinking it was the main relay but I looked at that but all I read was about gas so I don't know if its really the main relay anymore. Alternator, Starter??? If you have encountered this please let me know because its my only car. Thank you

Car is a 93 Civic with a D16z6 motor in there.

Alright then will check tomorrow after work. Thanks. I am pretty sure its a ground too because no electricity means maybe positive is plugged but negative is not.

no by no grounds he means engine grounds it obviously has a battery ground because it wouldnt click if it didnt, try rolling the car and see if it starts like have some one push it and then u try and turn the key on ifthe lights light up its a ground, my old crx did exactly this and i ended up finding out it was a ground by moving the vehcial and starting it, im guessing the axles created enought of a ground to start idk lol

I would like to do push start but what I don't like about that is because the car needs to drive up a steep hill to put in the garage and thats a bitch. If it starts its good but if it doesn't then it sucks. I will think about the push start.

What sucks is that it doesn't even crank nor the lights in the dash light up.

start by first checking to make sure the ground connections are good and tight and the grounds in the engine bay area also. second check to see if the starter connections are tight also. if they are loose they can cause it to have high resistance resulting in no cranking. or u can always take ur battery and starter to autozone and have them checked for free.

Always check the easy stuff first.

Try the main 80 amp fuse.

this may be a stupid question but no one has addressed it, unless i missed it. but did you check your battery voltage. to me it sounds like a dead battery.

if it is your battery a push start will do nothing until the battery has a charge. the alt. will not be turning fast enough to start it.

im not telling you to "push start it" im just saying push it back and forth 5 feet or so while ur in it and see if it creates a good enought engine ground to light ur dash **** up

x2 on the battery, could be a ground, or even a short circuit. i had my coolant temp wires cut and spun together (so the circuit was closed), the wires came apart one day and when i tried to start my car it just kinda clicked once. and i found that those wires came apart, spun em back together and it started no prob.
