Ok heres my plan, im going for a slight build. i Have a gsr motor with low miles, got skunk2 im, cai icebox, and itr header, 2.5 cat, and a sp2 exhaust. basically got all my bolt ons. SO now im looking to get some cams, like itr or ctr, and then tune my car for its most potential. I was reading and looking around and i kno that if i wanted to go skunk2 pro 1's and crower cams i would need to upgrade my valve train. NOw the question is, what cams can i use that have the same specs as a itr 00-01 or ctr. Im looking for both intake and exhaust, and i dont want to upgrade the valve springs and retainers. Also, should i get cam gears as well? whats a good combo for my current setup thanks!

 

btw oem ctr/itr cams vs skunk2 stage 1, will i see a better gain with the skunks?

 

I wouldn't go any different cams until u upgrade the valvetrain, seems stupid to want to upgrade cams, and not the valvetrain, just get itr valvetrain then u can go with skunk stage2 cams, at least upgrade to itr springs and retainers, u can find them cheap.
