**HELP** 1995 Acura Integra motor swap
We have a 1995 Acura Integra LS. The engine that was in it had been built to be sprayed, we never sprayed it (people before us did I'm pretty sure) but we did race it and it didn't take long ofcourse to blow the motor. When the engine was built (by someone else before we got it) the stock B18b1 block was used. The motor has a GSR head, cams, . . . etc. I dunno if the stock computer was used or what. We spun a bearing, fixed it, spun it again and bent a rod. We bought a B18c1. The b1 had 12:1 pistons, so we put them in the c1 motor. We used pretty much everything worth a **** on the new motor; the GSR head, the cams, the same computer. We got the car all back together in now it won't run right. No knocking, or ticking, or pinging, no noises of any kind. It misses when idling, and stumbles pretty bad when accelerating. When you give it gas, when you get to a certain point with the throttle the car acts like it isn't getting gas anymore. The number 1 fuel injector was bad, so we replaced it and when we get the money we are going to replace the other 3. I checked the other 3 and all 4 are now working. We checked the fuel pump, changed the fuel filter, and lots of other stuff and nothing is working. We are running out of money to sink into the car. We live in Roanoke, VA and for the life of me I cannot find anyone anywhere near here that does motor swaps and has a clue what they are doing. Any suggestions, comments, or other would be great. I grew up working in a garage with my dad, and my boyfriend is good with cars so if you have any questions that would help any of you with giving us some ideas just ask and I'll answer all the questions I can. Thank you so much!!
1) Cam Timing - Did you use the correct mark on the crank pulley for TDC and do the cam gears line up pointing towards each other (on the little lines)?
2) Pulled in the MAP and TPS backwards. As dumb as it is, honda used plugs that will plug into each other on those 2 sensors which are very close to one another.
3) Do a compression check
What rods did you use in the GSR motor? If you spin a bearing, you basically have to replace both the crank and rod....or crank/block depending if its a rod or main bearing that spins (95% of the time its a rod).
