WEight of trunk lid 1998 civic coupe
Does anyone know the weight of the trunk lid of a 1998 civic coupe. I am asking because I am considering getting a carbon fiber trunk lid but I will only get it if the weight savings is worth it. Thanks

IMO There is a pretty good weight difference in the two. I had a Vis Racing CF lid on mine and that thing weighed nothing! When I would pop the trunk, the lid would fly up like it was nothing! Thought the damn thing would break off every time I opened it. I really loved that trunk lid though, had to go back to the oem one

Cool, thanks for all the input. Since I have already pretty much taken out anything I can (seats, carpet, ac) it sounds like it might be worth it to get a cf lid if I can maybe get it used or at a discount. Also sounds like a good idea to get it painted. Thanks again
