I take it that you're running a boost-only source to your wastegate. If this is the case, you can run it anywhere between the compressor housing and the throttle body. There is however the matter of pressure drop the further you venture from the turbo (especially after the intercooler). I'd imagine that Tial will stumble upon this thread and give you an exact answer.

there is no real set length, but i would keep it as short as possible for optimal response (obviously) and remember to use a pressure only source, NOT a vacuum/pressure.

would the brake booster line be a vac/pressure source? what effect will this have if you run it like so?

Anything between the turbo and the throttle body would be a pressure-only source.

if the engine has strong enough vacuum it can suck the diapragm into the side port and damage it.

i have no ports in this area for my wastegate. . . no nipple on the turbo and no ports on the ic piping or tb, are you supposed to tap it to the bov somehow?

yep, best thing to do is tap the compressor housing near the discharge

not into the bov---the bov gets its reference from a vaccume source.

we always drill and tap the compressor housing
