Default Help with finding a double DIN CD & Dvd player

K, so with my old stuff gone, I'm in the market for a new cd/dvd player. I was thinking that the Integra would look pretty slick if I had a double DIN screen there instead of a regular cd player and a dash kit with yet another 3" deep pocket i didn't need. I was just hoping that some of you guys might have some good input on which unit is best or best for me.

I'm looking at the Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD mainly because it has 3 pairs of 4v preouts
http://www.pioneerelectronics....00DVD

What I'm looking for:

- A sleek display unit
- 3 pre outs. 4v or more not needed but highly preferred
- Control over audio settings.
- An ergonomic design or at least a good remote control
- I'm far more for audio quality than navigational or video quality.

I did see that one but I was kinda put off by the 2v preouts, which is why i was looking at that specific Pioneer.

I guess I wouldn't have a problem with running a single DIN where the screen pulls out if they made a install kit where the pocket is on the top instead of the bottom. Do they?

Indeed they do.

You will need to modify a regular dash kit.

Purchase dash kit, and open the package. Assemble or cut applicable tabs off.

Grasp kit firmly by the sides, and carefully rotate kit 180 degrees. Set down gently.

You have now successfully modified your dash kit so the pocket is on the top.

So anyone have any recommendations for me for any one of the 6"-7" dvd receivers?

"I was kinda put off by the 2v preouts"
Turn the gain on the amp up a tiny bit more and you will not even notice that it has "only" 2V outputs. 94

Well i don't know if it was the quality of the receiver or the 6v preouts but when i went from an alpine that had 4v in the front and 2v for the sub to that 6v premier unit, i could tell the quality difference immediately.

Well like i said, I'd like to hear what you might recommend or what i should be looking for if I'm serious about sound quality ( clarity, not loudness )

I try.

Anyways... I saw a kick-*** Alpine unit in my new Crutcfield book I got in the mail.. Was a flip down double-din unit, with detachable GPS receiver.

Bah... I don't see it on Crutchfield's website or Alpine's... I'll post more about it when I get home... Or, if I can locate it today...
