Default Security code odyssey 2002

I just bought an odyssey 2002 few days ago, the battary was dead and the DVD and audio system requires a code, i looked in the manual i didnt fine the "theft prevention code" Card. I saw 5 digit no. written by hand on the outer manual page, could that be my system code, if it was ow do i enter it, if it wasnt is there a simple way to get the radio serial no. with out sending more money and taking the whole system out of the dash board. the kids are bugging me wanting to go for a ride and watch DVD's. thanks M
