valve cover...?

ok so i recently discovered that the center bolt on my valve cover is striped not the actual bolt but the hole it screws into could this cause any problems and what should i do to fix it?

can anyone tell me where i can get this kit i looked online and they have it at ace hardware for $40!?

Any auto parts store will have a insert kit.
Is it leaking oil at the valve cover seal? if no, leave it alone and put a rubber plug in where the bolt goes into the cover.
If you need to drill and install an insert, make sure you don't get any metal chips in the oil pan.
The oil filter should catch small chips, but I don't think any one here would want to risk it.
Do not torque these old bolts. Just put them slightly more then hand tight. The rubber gasket seals, it's not about how tight the old bolt is.
At over 100psi of oil pressure in the race engine we never had an oil leak. I would just use the 1/4" ratchet like a screw driver, not like a ratchet.
