broken motor mounts.... again...
90 cb7 with a f22b swap. I seem so roast any stock motor mount I put in there. Both the front (by the radiator) and the left (by the timing cover) die within a few months. Anyone have this problem? Wondering if there are aftermarket ones available, short of solid mounts. This is getting expensive when I could be using that money to complete my boost fund...
have you thought about using some urethane from McMaster-Carr in a hardness of say 63A so it's not real stiff to add a lot of vibration but something stiffer than the OEM mount itself?

He said he had a boost fund, which means he is saving up to go turbo eventually

Oh I'm glad you can read the OP"s mind.
It doesn't say he isn't currently boosted, you CAN upgrade parts you know........
Something is wrong if a stock motor eats through OEM mounts quickly.

The engine is bone stock for now. I have a turbo, but it is not on the car yet. I still need a ram manifold and pipes run. I do play pretty hard with it. Well, as much as I can with a stock engine..... I have poked and prodded with the engine and everything seems to line up ok, nothing seems to be binding. Sooo........???

Trans shifts fine, not all the time wot, and I can't remember about the vaccum line on the rear mount. If I'm correct (??) I'm not sure if the manual trans has a vaccum line going to it or not, but the rear mount is fine. Haven't had to replace it. I'm just left scratching my head and trying to figure out WTF is going on here.
well, you never said if it was a manual or auto tranny either so...
not sure about the 90-93 Accord different between the rear mount but on the 94-97 the rear mount of a manual didn't have the vacuum setup while the rear mount of an auto did.
