What is this here? Like a oil filter for what? Does it work like a catch can or something? Somebody please explain this to me!!!!

oil filter relocation? You serious? And how does that work? Im guessing a braided hose to the back of the block where the filter would normally go, then a fitting at the other end of wherever you want it?

pretty much yea, i assume people use it that race (professionally) and change their oil after every race. but anyone could use it if you dont like crawling under your car.

 

We make and sell oil relocation kits. Basically theres a plate in the back that screws on where the oil filter goes. Then theres 2 lines that come out to another plate that you now bolt your oil filter too. Makes oil changes a breeze.

 

a few people do them as an addition to an oil cooler as well.

 

what kind of header is that on that motor. Its wild looking.

After looking at it, you can see that the differences are minimal.

Im wondering if anr has different coatings. Because Bisi uses ceramic coatings on most, if not all, of his headers.

 

actualy its neither, if you look at the flanges it dosent match the anr one. idk waht kind it is, jsut stating its not the correct one ppl are saying

Flanges are not a key part to a manifold.

Correct but at the cost of the original question. We went from oil relocation to header, to now debating if its still on course or not.

Im sorry i didnt mean to jack your thread ts i just thought the header was crazy looking.

 

ok i just finish installing my permacool oil filter relocation kit from summitracing,i double check everything to see if its installed correctly which it is.now put oil 4quarts but the oil pressure light stays on and wont go away,so i add another quart of oil total of 5quarts and still the light still on.there is no leak whatsoever i disconnect battery for 10 min and stilll the light wont go away.any suggestions what should i look for or anything i can do?thanks

 

umm that thread was like 2 years old. did you install the oil pressure sending unit ? maybe your lines are backwards ?

 

yes im 100% percent sending unit is hook up as for the lines hhmm i might have to recheck but im pretty sure its hook up right.could be the line too long?i located the filter right just next to the coolant reserve bottle and under the stock air filter box.would it be safe if i have 5 quarts of oil in the motor?or shold i drain some?thanks

 

ya 5 quarts should be lots as long as you don't have 20 feet of -10 line. maybe try a differant oil pressure sender. does it tick when its running can you see oil geting to the head ( oil filler hole in valve cover

 

ok i figured out what was wrong the lines were backwards.thanks for the help
