Default fuel economy of stage 2 setup?

Hey guys, i hate to sound like a noob with this question but i've used and used the search and came up with nothing so far for my question. My question is what kind of gas mileage are people getting with 190-200ish whp all motor setups? My head gasket finally is starting to let go so its time to proceed with the mild n/a build. I know the gas mileage will differ of course from setup to setup but i'm talking about a 11.3:1 B18c1 using 310cc injectors and tuned with chrome. Has anyone noticed much difference in fuel economy from ctr/stg 1 cams vs a stg 2 setup? I'm asking this question because i'm trying to make up my mind on the what cams to go with but economy will probably be the deciding factor since this is still my DD. If stg 2 cams are kind of bad on fuel then i'd rather stick with a poor mans itr setup, have a lil less power and keep some mpg's. Any help is appreciated guys. Thanks

Properly tuned, high performance engines will get as good or better fuel economy than stock engines.

so pretty much as long as the tune is adequate there's not gonna be much difference in gas mileage from most basic stg1 to stg 2 cams? If thats the case then cool, i'll go ahead and decide on the stg 2's i want. If anyone else has any gas mileage info on their decent all motor setups don't be shy. Thanks b19coupe.

When your just cruisin around not in vtec, you should get atleast the same if not better gas mileage.
But when you hit vtec, everything changes. The big cam comes alive and its thirsty for fuel so you get a little worse gas mileage. Keeping out of vtec will probably the biggest factor conderning your MPG.
I dont see anyreason you can still obtain 30mpg with a built motor. As long as the part throttle fuel mapping is accurate, your good to go.
Get a good tuner.

Sweet man. Thanks for the input. I'm sure in vtec she'll drink the go go juice but i just wasn't sure how it would do out of vtec. 30mpg will suit me just fine. Just want to make sure i can still go on long trips and stuff. I do have a well experienced reliable tuner thank god. He's cutting me a hell of deal once i get it together. $160 to chip with chrome and dyno/street tune. How can you say no to that. lol Of course thats a special rate for me from buying stuff from him and what not but you get the point. I was really impressed with some recent work he did on bolt on LS hatch. The hatch had some sort of overfueling issue but after he was done the car was in the mid 30's on mpg's with a b16 trans and gained 5-8 hp throughout the whole powerband and 7 peak hp. Ended up being 133whp with a bolt on LS on a dynojet. I thought that was pretty good myself. AGain thanks for the input.

You will have good gas mileage as long as you don't hit VTEC , beacause in order to make more power, more fuel and air is needed to complete the equation.
