Default Spoon Vtec contro..... Is it worth buying ?? i have a stock B16???

Hey was sup guys, wanted to know if its worth buying a Spoon Vtec controller??? Also if I do will my B16 lag on lower RPM's or will it work the same????

No "vtec controller" is worth buying. They all for the most part suck/aren't worth it.

your car is stock, vtec engages at the optimal rpm. Thats why honda makes billions and you dont. leave it alone

Whatever man, I got 115 whp when I set VTEC to 2500 rpm. J/K

OP your not gonna get anything out of a VTEC controller on a stock motor.

SEE THIS IS THE THING I BOUGHT IT, BUT IM AFRAID THAT ILL MESS UP MY TIMING ON MY B16 MY HOOKING IT UP ???? I KNOW VTEC IS SET TO 5600 RPM, BUT WANTED TO STAY IN VTEC EVERY TIME I SHIFT. I NOTICED I PROPED TO 4800 RPM'S OR SO, NOT SURE, BUT THAT'S THE REASON I BOUGHT IT. ILL BE SETTING IT UP AROUND THAT RANGE MAYBE 5000 RPM'S ILL SEE ......... I think you need to turn your damn caps the fugg off first.

Secondly, I have a B16A2 in my EM1. When I rev to around 8k and I shift I'm still IN VTEC. If you're not then you're doing something wrong. Either you're shifting too soon or you're shifting too damn slow.

Neither one of those will be fixed by a VTEC controller.

when he shifts at 8k with the clutch in he waits till the rpm drop to idle then lets the clutch out thats his issue

I'll second that...save your money. If you're going to do anything, get a chipped P28 and find yourself a tuner. Regardless, either method is not worth the money for the small gains you'll see.

How does that Spoon vtec controller works anyway. All i see is a turn dial **** and a led light. How are you suppose to know what rpm is set at
