DEI: New Responder LE Technology
Directed announced their new Responder LE system to replace the dated, and bulky Responder transmitter used with the 791XV.
If you haven't seen it, check here:
http://www.directed.com/ResponderLE/
The new version of the Viper Alarm/Remote Start system using the new Responder LE technology will be the Viper 5701. Unfortunately, the earliest I hear it can be had is March 08 sometime.... well its ALMOST March... can anyone get their hands on a Viper 5701?
The only place I can find it listed online is the drdetailshop.com, and for $399 installed. They're taking pre-orders now.
Is anyone here a Viper dealer?

I have the 3.3 models that i can carry, range is still not up to the 50.5x and the remote are easier to break. And no lcd screen to tell you about the car. your getting the same range as the old 791. I see this unit flopping like the 70.5x. I should not say flop but not sell as much. But I like the install features

It does have LED confirmation, no? The range on my 791 is perfectly fine, I just hate the big *** remote.

yes, it does. Just a new product to come out. I wish they would redo the 791 controler and keep it kind of the same. something that not going to break to easy

Thats true, although bulky, the 791xv remote is durable. I've dropped it, gotten it wet, smashed it against countertops, and it still works!
