Default just put cams in b16a1 check engine light flashing no CELs

ive just put my b16a1 pr3 obd-0 back together using brian crower cams, valves, springs, retainers, cams- 254/248 duration 472'' lift cam number BC00012

i put it all back together timing on and tight, stock injectors, vafcII(set to stock)
and now im getting a flashing check engine light but theres no cels. ive reset the ecu a couple times but it still comes back within the first mile and comes on sometimes at idle.

it is smoking but i think its from putting it all back together, it doesnt smell rich- my narrow band- which is pretty much worthless says im stoichometric.

why would i have this light flashing on and off with no code? it runs great and idles great just smokes, i put new guides in it and seals by the way. and new o2 sensors

ill keep looking around but havnt found too much about it theres ALOT of check engine threads to go through. need help guys thx

Default Re: just put cams in b16a1 check engine light flashing no CELs (ef8b16a1)

just a question, ive never had to do this in the past but ive seen it on some threads. do i need to jump the blue connector near pass. kick panel? ive done it only to set timing. in the past my cels will just start blinking with the key on w/out the dlc jumper remember 88-91 led in ecu im gonna try jumping it tomarro

but ussally when i throw a cel it stays on solid till i turn the ignition off. this is my first blinking cel. i know its more critical cuz it means the engine or cat is in danger so i left the car at the shop

That jumper is just to make your actual CEL on the cluster flash the code. If you have the led on the ecu you dont have to do anything just count the blinks.
