high idle b20 vtec
quick back ground i parked my car on a street that always floods when it rain which i didnt know. i went to the car a couple days later the inside was flooded(ecu under water), i went to start it and apperently there was still water in the intake got hydro lock and blew a rod out of the motor. so i salved the head and bought a block i did the swap my self, i plugged up the hole gor vtec on the heqad put a samwich kit on and ran a line for vtec, ok finnaly my question, it idles at around 2500 all the time. even if im gear it will pull up to 2500 then stay. i replaced the tps, cold start, and map. the only code is an auto tranny light(but the ecu is for a manual and never thre that code before) im using the stock b18c ecu that was sumerged in water. im saving money for a new custom ecu im lost on what to do. could it be the ecu?or an adjustment i dont know about(i hope lot cheaper). thanks
Have you checked the tension on the throttle cable? I know this seems pretty basic, but I sometimes overlook the most simple things and thought I would put it out there.
