Default Another intake mani. question

So i read alot of treads on the skunk2 IM....I understand that it likes a higher vtec, also I/H/E helps along with valvetrain upgrades such as cams, valves, valvesprings and retainers. now my problem i can't get a clear answer on is retuning of the ECU. if I were to buy a hondata s300....and properly tune that, would that be all the tuning necessary.

I understand that. the part i don't understand is for the intake. for the butterflies? if i retune the ecu, will that take care of the ecu wanted to open up the secondaries for my oem IM? the only problem i have understanding that.

If you use a skunk2 intake manifold, your car will not have the secondary butterflies... it will only have the vtec crossover wherever you decided to tune it at. The butterflies are a characteristic of the OEM GSR intake manifold

I understand about the butterfly's, the question is about the ecu with the butterflys. is a p28 ecu needed to be shipped or will a hondata s300 take care of that issue?
