Default greddy turbo kit stock b16 safe?

would it be safe for me to put a greddy turbo kit on my 99 si with a stock motor about 70kmiles with hondata tuned for 8psi? daily driven. My friend told me i shouldn't do it because if i blow my motor i'm f*ck and if i turbo my car i should do it to a newer motor.

8lbs is safe
you could do a compression check for some added comfort.

putting the turbo kit should be fine as long as its tuned right. Make sure you have the right fuel upgrade and do a compression test like the other guys said.. I wouldnt use the greddy emanage use the hondata...

The rule of thumb for a stock block B series on pump gas is that you're safe at 300whp or less. You can make more but it takes a good setup and a good tune. If you come close to 300whp on your Greddy setup, consider yourself lucky....you'll be fine on the stock block though
