Car won't start! --94 Civic EX-- Throwing CELs 17 & 41
Pretty sure it's getting fuel and spark now. Engine cranks, but won't start:
I first checked for spark and found out I had a weak coil, so I replaced it with the dealership's coil for $125
. Then I replaced the plugs, just in case.
Still wouldn't start.
Checked for fuel pressure at the rail, and it was okay, so I'm stuck.

My check engine lamp has been on for a couple weeks. I've ignored it until now, but the car ran fine until now. Could either of these two cause the car to NOT start?
CEL 17 - VSS - speed sensor
CEL 41 - Primary oxygen sensor heater
Thanks

the vss sensor code most likely came on because the vehicle cut off while driving and will not keep your car from starting, and the o2 code will not keep a car from starting. O2 sensors will only couse a rich or lean condition and they only really operate after the vehicle reaches close loop. Check your main relay by placing a test light at the plug for the fuel pump and see if it lights up when you turn the ignition switch on. or an easier way is to roll up your windows and listen for your fuel pump when the ignition switch is turned on. you should hear a 2 to 3 second humming sound everytime you turn the ignition switch to the on position.
I've actually got fuel pressure; I can hear the pump and have also cracked the nut on the fuel rail to find pressure there, too.
