Default bad cat?

I have a 92 civic vx, when I bought it it had a check engine for o2 sensor. The person I bought it off of said that a tech said this would take care of it (he gave me a new o2) so I put it on and it took care of the light and it has a hesition only when the car is warm I was thinking cat but wouldn't it hesitate during cold too? If its not the cat maybe egr sticking or maybe the wrong o2 sensor possible? Let me know what you guys think . Thanks!

If your gas mileage was pretty bad then I would say it is a bad cat.
