Default ECU problem from Phearable.net

guys,

I got my ECU from Phearable.net, after long waiting i was quite disappointed.

I plugged it into my 99 JDM ITR, and i got code > 22 < VTEC Oil Pressure Switch

Any suggestions what to do ? I can have a local chipper of ECu chek or fix for me, since I am In Curacao, to sent it back might take 2 months etc, cost to sent etc.

R

You might want to contact phearable.net and see what he suggestes. Maybe your local chipper can repair it and phearable will pick up the charges as the shipping back to him and then back to you will probably be more then the repair. It might be one of the solderings on the board did not solder right.

Splice the oil pressure wire to VTEC solenoid wire.....voila code is gone, and vtec is on.

in pictures... splice in a jumper wire from A4 to C6 in this diagram.

reason for the CEL, JDM engines do not have the oil pressure switch.
you can also pick up a USDM VTEC solinoid so you have the switch, but the jumper is quicker, easier and cheaper.

no, i stopped it - but if u need something done on the ecu or have any questions I can try to help you. The last few years there is simply not enough business, and moved on to a 9-5 job.

I only live a short jaunt away from you.....what's your price to chip a P28 with one of your "Spoon/Mugen" programs you used to deal with @ Hyperduck? No Shipping, I'd just come on down to your place an get'er done....ie: you still have your bin files and Eprom burners?

I've got 2 "virgin" P28's at the moment...both 5spd's....

thanks for the feedback......

Oh Ya...sorry to jack the thread.....but I thought since mister eg6 was here....

From your Fotoki site it appears as though you do have a small "garage/shop" Is that B20Z for sale?

We have responded to your email concerning the issue that you ran into because your motor does not have a vtec oil pressure switch. You simply need to bypass the pressure switch which is an easy wiring harness modification.

Below is the link we emailed you.

If you have any other issues, questions or concerns just email us and we will take care of it!

Our number one concern is customer service. If you ask any one of our customers they will vouch to that!

The problem is not the ecu. We test every single unit before shipping them.
