Default Changing from 14b to big 16g turbo, what are the differences(flanges..)

Hello,
I'm from the Netherlands and I'm currently boosting with a 14b turbo. I want to change to a 16g turbo, because I have heard that the exhaust flange is the same as the 14b and the manifold to turbo flange also..Is this true?
I'm afraid that the big 16g will not fit, because I use a cast iron manifold and the compressorhouse from my 14b is almost hitting the block..Is the compressoerhouse from the big 16g alot bigger?
Thanks in advance guys

The 16g should bolt right in. It 16g flows 550cfm. Good for about 300whp some freaks have made 400whp with it.

Oke, I thought that only the small 16g had the same flange. Could anyone else confirm that the big 16g would bolt right up?
Are the oilconnections and the waterline connections at the turbo, the same as at the 14b?
@Turbodano, is the compressorhouse alot bigger than a 14b?

On DSM motors its a straight swap. Clearance might be your only issue. And that all depends on your custom setup. Post a pic if you can, with a close up of your current turbo.

So that means that the oil&waterconnections are the same?Does anybody know if the compressorhouse from the big 16g is bigger than the 14b?
Thanks for all the comments !

A dsm web site might be have better answers. Google TD05H 16 G, youll eventually find a page that has all the different compressor wheels, what housing they fit in, their inducer size, exducer size etc. Search is your friend, even outside of H-T . If you still can't find anything, post here again, and I'll log on my work computer and find the exact website.

I'm going for a Big 16g When I have clearance issues, I will change my manifold.
