Default couple question for you type r guys

Just wanted to say hi im a new 01 Type R owner and have a couple question for you guys. I had alot of hondas in the past mostly for drag but i got this car for a too good to be true deal so i picked it up.. my questions for you guys are mostly suspension related. the car as it sits is koni yellows/ground controls. what are some easy mods i can do to the car to make it handle better.. i was going to get

passwordjdm 2 point front strut tower brace
" " 2 point rear strut tower brace
JDM type r 23mm rear sway bar

what else can i do thats easy.. thanks alot

Daniel

My advice: Get on track and take it from there. You might find out that it is plenty capable in stock form.

Stock suspension is amazing. At Expo 6, Carl (the Quebecian) had a very fast Type-R on 100% stock suspension. I hate to say it but I had to give him the point by. I swear it was the supercharger.

Agreed. I was on stock suspension for E6 & E7. Carl was hilarious.

I spent tons and tons of cash on mods thinking I was preparing myself for track. In the end, it made the learning curve that much more difficult since my driving skills were far beneath my car. As others have stated, I would really recommend starting from stock and just going from there. Track time is the best money I have spent, and will continue to spend.

Congrats on the purchase ! I recently got mine and love it. I feel like it handles better on the stock suspension than some of my other hondas with aftermarket setups !

Hi Daniel, welcome to the "R" family. For those who don't know him. Daniel is a great guy and has some bad-*** Honda cars that I wish I have.

No thats my roomates 20th.. him and his friends are big dub people i was into them before i knew about vtec.. me and him are putting a VR6 in his 97 cabrio. i hate working on VWs. as far as the hatch hit had a B16 in it that my friend tracked.. i told him i would take it out for him if i could get it for that price.. i pulled the B series and suspension and just swapped everything over from my crx.. fun times
