Default Radiator support is bent, replace or repair?

Freak accident, but in the end I can see my radiator support frame is bent up and has pushed up the radiator and everything else. The car continues to cool fine, but if I replace my radiator down the line then I'm sure a shop will tell me to correct it. I need to find out what I am looking at in terms of my options.

I have a 2001 Civic EX coupe. All I know is that it's welded on and that I do not have any option of doing it myself. I don't make a huge amount of dough, so I'm guessing this fix is going to hit me hard on my wallet. Should I just get it replaced or repaired? How much does something like this run? (any past experiences with this would be appreciated) and how long does something like this take? I commute quite a bit everyday so I hope I won't be stuck with a rental for too long. Any referrals to a good place in the So Cal - L.A. area would be great also. Thanks in advance for any help!

Jeff

i'm in the same boat as you are but i'd recommend that you'd replace it for safety reasons.

since you have an EX you'd probably need to replace the ac condenser as well.

you can try craftman auto body on studebaker right next to cerritos auto square. it won't be cheap but they do good work. or you can try pming nautical_star, since he works at kings auto body.

The good thing is that your radiator isn't leaking any coolant and how's your condensor? And when you say it's been pushed up does that mean the lower portion of your rad. support was damaged? If so it wouldn't be a great idea to repair it but rather replacing it would be best. Leaving a damaged rad. support alone for a long time isn't good for the car due to the fact that rusting comes into play. You can always resort to getting an aftermarket OEM rad. support which could be cheaper by like $100, but your best bet is to replace it without thinking twice cause I've seen really bad rad. supports from customers leaving it alone for years... If you have any further questions just PM me again and I'll see what I can do for you.

Thanks for the input Nautical_Star. I'm going to try to start calling up a few places to see if they can get me an estimate on what's it going to cost. Let me know if you can give me an estimate on how much some of your previous jobs were to give me an idea on what I should be looking out for. I haven't a clue what labor looks like on these types of things. Thanks.
