was recently hit in my dc and it is most likely going to be totalled, and i'm considering buying a del sol. Just trying to find out which parts i can switch over, more specifically suspension (too much invested).

let me know, if i take out the interior plastics, if i can fit the dc/eg sparco style harness bar.

from pics it looks like there is space, but i can't really tell and don't have any friends to allow a test fit.

I've only sat in one Sol in my life, but if I remember correctly there isn't a lot of room for the bar back there... so I don't think so.
smart azzed answer - anything can be made to fit with a big enough hammer and a torch.

 

yeah, i just prefer no to resort to the "custom frame" design that cutting and welding and hammers can achieve. I know there is not much room but the bar only goes about 4-6 inches behind the upper seat belt mount, i'm more concerned about the lower mounting points at the lower seat belt mounts, will it clear that little step behind the seats

 

I have no idea, but any harness bar I've ever seen listed for the EG/DC2 does not list the DelSol.
I have a feeling that's your answer for direct bolt in.

as to what needs to be modified... *shrug*

 

guess test fit is going to be my only option, gotta find a new friend with a del sol
