im using same oil as you, im not burning any at all... do you see any smoke coming out of exhaust? your piston rings need to be replaced... also you sure your not leaking some of that oil...

I'd have to say that's an unhealthy amount.

Look around- ground, engine, enhaust..

ALSO. Depending on what you have and where you live.. I believe its reccomended to use 5w30. Not sure if that'd make much of a diff tho. (Look on your oil cap :D)

i park in my drive way and theres absolutely no oil ... if i let it idle for a long time some black substance comes out of the exhaust but i think its just wet carbon or somethin im pretty sure its not oil ... would a leakdown test be able to tell me if my rings are fried? its bone stock ....

It might be your valve seals. From what I have been told it is a common problem.I just ordered some new ones today for my car.

How many miles did you put on it in that time frame? What engine?

Do a compression/leakdown test, it should tell you where the oil is going.
