I am looking for a header with a 2.5' collector. I do not want the DC sports JDM 4-1 because it hangs too low. I plan on running high compression pistons and big cams. What are some really good headers Toda? SMSP? Hytech?..other?

I'd say comptech, but i am not positive if it has a 2.5" collector...

No, the Comptech is Not 2 1/2"

And of the aforementioned, if you think the JDM/DC is too low then the Spoon is out of the question. Dave or John would certainly make a header that will fit your clearance issues, or you could choose the Toda. Next you have to decide what you want out of the car, how much to spend, and ultimately which one to get.

actually yes the SEARCH does work. You find me a GOOD post compareing headers for TYPE R'S with 2.5' COLECTORS, staying away from the DC sports JDM. And ill read it.

That's what i love about my toda header, sheet hangs like stock. I have yet to put a scratch on it, but maybe it's because im extra carefull with it . Scratched my non jdm dc sport 4-1 a bunch of times.

yes, that is true. i'm on my third header. even tough it the best bang for the buck, but it still hang too low

 

Your on your 3rd header...you could have just bought the TODA and be done with.

1 TODA costs about the same as 3 other headers.

Does the DC JDM header really hang down too low? I was just planning on buying that header this weekend. I have a lowered 01 R what kind of ground clearance problems would I run into if my car was lowered 2". Would I scrape on everything! Like going in and out of driveways, speed bumps, etc. ?

Does anybody have a pic from from the front of the car, so I can see how much the DC JDM header hangs down?

I really want to buy this header, I can't afford $600+ for a header right now. If I drive careful could I get around town without damaging the header or is it unavoidable?

I need your guys' help I was planning on buying the DC JDM header tomorrow. But after hearing about it hanging too low, it kind of worries me because my car is low. If I drive careful could I make it in and out of driveways without scraping up the header? And could I make it over small speed bumps?
